I saw this store’s sign in Illinois when I was visiting my relatives recently. Of course I immediately wanted to tell two friends about this store…and about Faberge shampoo.

I’ve just seen the Golden Globe nominees for this year’s Best actress in a television series, drama. And the nominees are:
Sally Field, “Brothers & Sisters”
Mariska Hargitay, “Law & Order: SVU”
January Jones, “Mad Men”
Anna Paquin, “True Blood”
Kyra Sedgwick, “The Closer”
Now don’t get me wrong, I love me some Mad Men…
But will someone at your organization please explain to me why you chose to nominate January Jones over Christina Hendricks or Elizabeth Moss?
I demand an answer.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Furjanic
Impressive. Fitting. James Boyle’s new book The Public Domain is available to download for free! Boyle (co-author of the Fair Use comic book) explains this strategy here.
11 months agoI recently re-joined Twitter. I had joined when it first started but didn’t know, then, what to do with it. It’s like having one of the first fax machines and lots of friends without them…
Even before I re-joined, I had heard a lot about the Mad Men Twitterers. I begain following them on Twitter and loved seeing these Twitterers extend the Mad Men story beyond the screen. I tried to get the controversial dueling Betty Drapers to fight to set the record straight, but neither took the bait:
Though there is still no answer to this “age old question” (an age old Twitter question, anyway), a great report was released today by Bud Caddell - one of the Mad Men Twitterers. Amazing insights about Transmedia storytelling and the anxiety that TV producers/stations (i.e. their lawyers) feel when it comes to fans.

11 months agoSaw these for sale at the Oren’s Coffee shop near my office. Very curious/confused about the copyright issues here. Need to find out more.

For years my friends and I have been hoping and praying and willing that the character of Jenny Schecter would get outsted from the L Word (see graphic below as evidence). Seriously, I defy you to find a more thoroughly annoying character on television. Well, it seem that our prayers have been answered! I saw today that they’re actually going to kill Jenny off in the season opener on Jan 18th. Thank you Ilene Chaiken, it’s about time! But according to the msnbc.com article, fear not you Jenny lovers (all two of you), you’ll still get your Jenny fix:
“The remainder of the season is heavy with flashbacks of Jenny (played by Mia Kirshner) in the swim with her enemies and pals.”
Oh. Joy.

Treet Trends, don’t try to trick us into getting our friends to follow you on Twitter by using the word “Social.” We’re not falling for it.
